I said initally...i am trying to create web application using visual studio 2008 and an oracle database. i have oracle database 11g express edition release 11.2.0.2.0 - 64bit production and visual studio 2008. i was looking for an odbc that is compatible with both software on windows 10.. I have multiple computers on my network that i upgraded from windows 7 or windows 8 to windows 10 (64 bit), and every one of them works fine using odbc to connect to sql server. i assume you are talking about visual foxpro..
Vfpoledb install fails in win 10 x64 as noted, the vfp odbc drivers are not included with windows 10. and as noted installing the oledb provider will also not include the odbc driver. regards, the ole db provider for visual foxpro ("the provider") is the recommended replacement for the foxpro odbc driver.. Microsoft access through oledb has the same problem on 64-bit computers. as stated by pcelba, compiling the application for 32-bit solves the problem with access, and i suspect that it would do the same for foxpro.. Foxpro 2.6 for windows and visual foxpro 3.0 to 6.0 should not be supported as they are pure 16-bit applications. not sure for vfp 7.0 to 8.0 as they are for both 16-bit and 32-bit environments. vfp 9.0 should be technically supported. if you could run it on windows 8, it should be okay on windows 10..
